How to choose the right temple arm
- Read the inside of the temple you still have: on optical frames the engraving reads RX plus four digits, sometimes with a letter (RX2447V), followed by the sizes. Our guide to finding the reference shows where.
- Take the length from the last of those three numbers, in mm. If the engraving has worn off, measure from the hinge screw to the tip along the top of the temple.
- Decide left or right: each listing states the side.

Are these original Ray-Ban temples?
They are compatible replacement parts of independent manufacture, made to fit Ray-Ban eyeglass frames; they are not Ray-Ban products.
My frame says RX, not RB. Which do I order?
Order the RX reference exactly as engraved. RX codes belong to optical frames and RB codes to sunglass frames; even when the two share a family name, the fronts, hinges and lengths differ, so the parts are not interchangeable.
Can my optician fit it for me?
Any optician will do it in minutes and usually realign the frame too. To do it yourself, a 1.4 mm precision screwdriver is enough.
Will my prescription lenses be affected?
The lenses stay in the front throughout. Check afterwards that both temples rest level when the glasses sit on a flat surface.
