The RB3477's aviator front calls for a 140mm metal temple arm to match, both in length and in finish. A compatible replacement needs to be built to those same specifications, since aviator-style fronts leave little room to disguise an arm that runs even a few millimetres short.

The temple tip is thinner than the rest of the arm and is usually the first part to wear through or crack on an aviator frame like the RB3477. Once that happens, the whole arm typically needs swapping rather than just the tip.
